Professional Water Technologies Welcomes Stella Lanphear, Regional Sales Manager
Vista, CA, September 19, 2011 – Professional Water Technologies (“PWT”), specialized in reverse osmosis specialty chemicals and membrane forensics services, announces the addition of Stella Lanphear to its team as Regional Sales Manager. “Stella has significant and wide-ranging expertise in water treatment, manufacturing, project management and new technology implementation”, says David Russell, VP Specialty Chemicals and Services. “As we develop our internal and external sales force, reaching out for new regions and countries – supported by the recent addition of Miller Truby as Regional Account Manager for the Southwest States and the signature of a sales representation agreement with Swiss company Omya two weeks ago –, Stella’s hands-on engineering professionalism together with her interpersonal and professional skills will be considerable assets to PWT’s growing exposure.”
Prior to joining the PWT team, Stella worked more than 10 years for Pepsi-Cola as Principal Research Engineer, providing her expertise on water as a product and as an ingredient, and managing projects for commercialization of new products. She also occupied various positions developing procedures and protocols, commissioning equipment and providing training in the pharmaceutical and water treatment fields, amongst others.
Stella’s main focus at Professional Water Technologies will be to develop new sales opportunities in the East Coast States and support PWT’s clients of chemicals and systems both technically and commercially. Receives NSF Standard 60 Certification from the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)

Professional Water Technologies Develops Sodium Benzoate-Infused Dendrimer Antiscalant

SAN DIEGO — Professional Water Technologies, specialists in reverse osmosis chemicals and membrane forensics services, announces it has developed a new method of infusing its dendrimer antiscalant technology with sodium benzoate, a bacteriostatic and fungistatic preservative widely used in food and beverage applications.
“By incorporating sodium benzoate into the synthesis procedure of our dendrimers, we significantly improve the shelf-life of our products while controlling biological growth in pretreatment tanks, associated equipment and the membrane system itself,” says Stephen Dunham, PWT’s founder and Vice-President of After-Market Consumables. “Although we have long used sodium benzoate in our standard antiscalants, incorporating it into our 11X super-concentrated antiscalants has been a challenge until now. This new infusion process represents an exciting new development for users of our super-concentrated chemical pretreatment technology.”
